Music Feedback

Music talks about mental health, so can you” – is the theme behind Music Feedback, an innovative anti-stigma mental health campaign targeting young people aged 12-25 years of age.

Music Feedback uses popular music and musicians to encourage young people to talk about mental health issues, seek help early and promote opportunities for community engagement and social inclusion. The initiative encourages young people to:

  • participate in music and health activities to improve their wellbeing
  • express themselves and connect with others
  • talk about mental health and get early help for any problems
  • understand and support their peers and people with a mental illness
  • study and work in mental health

The 2011 campaign includes a documentary featuring some of Australia's best musicians talking about mental health and music with young people; 40,000 free CD/DVDs and an innovative do-it-yourself events kit by Cultural Infusion for young people to hold their own low cost Music Feedback branded events.
